Presentation Skills

The greatest fear in the world for most people is making a presentation. Being "on stage", whether in a small or large group, can be frightening to think about and terrifying to do.

To help you eliminate anxiety and become a comfortable, accomplished speaker, our one-on-one Presentation Skills training provides: audience analysis skills, proven preparation methods, delivery techniques, and a safe practice opportunity with constructive feedback.

Presentation Skills

Preliminary Steps

  • We work with you to articulate your perceived strengths and weaknesses in presentation organization and delivery. You tell us your experience, if any, in previous presentations, and identify an upcoming venue where you plan to speak

First Session

  • We review your background information and demonstrate how our interactive training will address your concerns
  • We provide you with step-by-step strategies and planning tools to prepare future presentations: personalized tips, a logistics checklist, audience analysis skills, and how to set an objective and framework for your presentations
  • We describe and demonstrate all the verbal, physical and audience management skills that will make your presentations a success
  • We give you tips and cautions on using visuals, handouts, lighting and audio

Second Session

  • You make a presentation on a topic of your choice, and provide your audience analysis and presentation plan for review
  • We provide specific feedback on your planning and performance, with suggestions for continued improvement so you can communicate professionally with any audience

Who Can Benefit from this Program?

Business and government professionals, under-employed people seeking advancement, individuals preparing to enter the workforce, university instructors and students, and anyone seeking office in a political, community or professional association.
